A seminar on Career opportunities for commerce Graduate was organised

Members from Commerce Department disseminate the information about
various opportunities and benefit of Government Schemes available to Youth
to become entrepreneur .Director of College Dr Vivek Sharma while
presiding over the event on this occasion. shared his thoughts about Importance
of Time Management in student life. About 300 students from Faculty of commerce
participated in this interactive session .
The 33rd Death Anniversary of Pandit Amarnath Sharma, the great philosopher, educationist, politician and flag bearer of Sanatan Dharma, was celebrated with pomp at Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma Mahavidyalaya, Rajpur. The program was started by offering flowers on the statue of Pandit Amarnath Sharma and lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Director and Principal of College Rajpur, Dr. Vivek Sharma Welcoming all the invited dignitaries, highlighted the important contribution of Pandit ji in awakening the light of education in the society. Dr. Vivek Sharma also read out the tribute messages sent by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sh Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Sh Mukesh Agnihotri and Health and Family Welfare Minister Sh Dhaniram Shandil on the death anniversary of Pandit Amarnath Sharma. He also expressed special gratitude and thanks to various office bearers of Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Sabha who paid tribute to Pandit ji through their messages. Throwing light on the biography of Pandit Amarnath Sharma, Dr. Shilpy, Assistant Professor in Hindi of the college, conveyed to august audience , how a simple and ordinary personality lit the light of Sanatan Dharma in the entire society. In this program, famous singer Dr. Satish Thakur mesmerized all the people sitting in the college auditorium by presenting various bhajans in his melodious voice. He was accompanied by Brijesh Sharma on tabla and Ajay on dholki. The stage operation of the program was done by Assistant Professor Anurag Sharma. Highlighting the service work done by Pandit Amarnath Sharma and the ideals and moral values established by him, Dr. Desh bandhu, President of Shri Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Sabha Punjab New Delhi, Sanatan Dharma Shiksha Samiti Chandigarh and Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma Shiksha Samiti Baijnath threw light on the work being done by Sanatan Dharma Shiksha Samiti and Pratinidhi Sabha at present and the possible future plans. He also expressed his gratitude to all the people who donated generously for the service work being done by the Sanatan Dharma Parivar. On this occasion, Working President of Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma Shiksha Samiti, Baijnath, Mr.U.R. Cheema, General Secretary Dr. Satish Sharma also highlighted various aspects related to the life of Pandit Amarnath Sharma and inspired the students to take inspiration from his life. Family members of Pandit Amarnath Sharma and teachers, non Teaching staff and students of Rajpur College also extended their full cooperation in organising this programme.
A one-day motivational seminar was organized at Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma Mahavidyalaya, Rajpur. In this program, Neuro Linguistic Programming Trainer and Life Coach, Sharat Ralhan guided the students as the chief guest and keynote speaker.The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp.On this occasion, Sharat Ralhan advised the college students not to curse their fate for their shortcomings in life. He also gave some suggestions for how to increase the importance of your personality with a calm mind and restraint. He also taught the tricks of how to handle situations before reacting immediately. Sharat Ralhan suggested the students not to get disheartened by failure in life and try till they get success.Based on the findings of his research work with Dr. David John Lincoln and Ralph Watson, a master trainer of hypnosis and president of the well-known NLP Society, he also taught college students and teachers the qualities of practically adopting some of his principles in life.Sharat Ralhan asked the students of the college who are taking coaching for IELTS to pass the test to go abroad, to contact him and he will give them full guidance. Sharat Ralhan also answered the questions of the students during the question and answer session. The Director Cum Principal of the college Dr. Vivek Sharma facilitated the Chief Guest Sharat Ralhan by presenting a bouquet, memento and shawl. The stage operation of the program was done by Mrs. Sukanksha. Assistant Professor in Commerce and Lecture was well attended by Faculty members and students. Mr Manish Katoch from Dept of Commerce concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
A Blood Donation Camp under the Banner of NSS Wing of College & Red Ribbon Club of GGDSD College was organized in the college in association with Blood Bank Society of Civil Hospital Palampur.
The Camp was inaugurated By Dr. Vivek Sharma Director cum Principal of the College in presence of Dr. Anil Minhas, In charge Blood Bank Civil Hospital Palampur. Mr. Suman Kumar, Programmed In charge NSS & Mr. Arvind Kumar In charge Red Ribbon Club of the College. Dr. Vivek Sharma, Director, Speaking on the occasion said that Blood Donation is a Mahadan and by Donating Blood , we are doing a great service to the society as our Blood can save so many lives , who are in need of Blood transfusion or during Surgery or can save the lives of people who met with fatal road accidents. He commended the efforts of the Incharges of NSS & Red Ribbon Club and volunteers for maintaining the tradition of organizing the Blood Donation camp in college for continuously last 12 years and also congratulated the students for showing the enthusiasm in donating blood. 29 units of blood were collected in the camp from the donor students in the college. College thanked the team of Doctors from the Hospital and their staff members .
Inspection Team from Sardar Patel University Mandi under Chairman Prof Pawan Kumar Chand, Associate Professor SPU , Vice Chancellor Nominee, Dr Narinder Singh ,Assistant Professor SPU , Dr Ankur Sharma Assistant Professor SPU , Subject Experts and Dr Ashok Chaudhary , Principal Govt College Nagrota Bagwan , Government Nominee conducted College Inspection . Team visited all the Departments of the college and were impressed with the infrastructure made available in the college for benefit of students. The hard work being put by the faculty members and achievements of the students, cleanliness in the campus were appreciated and found special mention by all the members of the Inspection committee. College organised session on stress Management and Meditation in Association with Maitreya Bodh Parivar (www.maitribodh.org). Students were enlightened about the Matri Sambodh Dhyaan Kriya , most pertinent meditation for the present time and age which helps them to improve facus and foresight, increase awareness, bring clarity in thoughts, improve concentration , and energizes their entire Being . Session was conducted by Madhumati ji Vounteer, Maitreya Bodh Parivar from Pune (Maharashtra) . Mamta Mendiratta Regional Head, Himachal Pradesh from Gurgaon, Shama Sawhney Volunteer MBP from Palampur joined the session. Dr Vivek Sharma, Director thanked the organiser for organising session and invoked the need for managing stress among students through meditation for their academic preparedness and achieving their career goals . Session was well attended by Faculty members and students.
